NC Lookout tower location source

I am looking for old fire lookout towers in NC. Primarily, I am seeking information on locations of these towers in eastern NC. The towers can still be in use or mothballed at present. I have been interested in these icons of fire safety/control since I was a young lad. My interest is to catalog there locations with GPS and create a photographic record of the tower. This is mainly for my own interest in these towers but am willing to share with any others in need of this information. As it is now, I am locating them by happenstance by just coming upon them as I ride the highways and byways of NC. In addition, lookout towers in the bordering counties of SC with NC would be helpful. Thanks for any information anyone may be able to pass along
